Breast Pain
Breast pain involves any discomfort or pain in the breast, such as premenstrual tenderness. There are many possible causes for breast pain. For example, hormonal fluctuations related to menstruation or pregnancy is often responsible for breast tenderness.
Abnormal Nipple Discharge
The likelihood of nipple discharge increases with age and number of pregnancies. While a milky nipple discharge is rare in men and in women who have never been pregnant, it does occur.
Breast Infection
Breast infections are usually caused by a common bacteria found on normal skin (Staphylococcus aureus). The bacteria enter through a break or crack in the skin, usually the nipple.
Lumps and Bumps
A Dermoid Cyst is a lump that is made up of the cells that grow to be skin. These cells did not grow properly and form a bag or sac that may contain sweat, oil, hair or skin particles.
Gynecomastia
Male gynecomastia is an abnormal condition characterized by breast enlargement in males. Occasionally they may also secrete milk.
Breast Cancer
Breast cancer generally begins in lobules (milk-producing glands) or ducts (milk-draining passages extending from the lobules to nipple). Breast cancer can sometimes occur in the fatty and fibrous breast tissues.
